The Biewer Terrier Club of America has been established to educate and promote the "Health and Welfare" of the Biewer Terrier Breed. Most of our members have 15 plus years experience in breeding Yorkies. Together they have brought many of the best Champion bloodlines from Germany to produce the highest-quality Biewer Terriers. Owing to the intelligence of the breed, many members are participating in therapy and service dog programs. Several of our members are actively showing their dogs, as we do encourage all members to participate. We are currently involved in a variety of programs that we feel will benefit and further the development of the breed.
We will continue to submit to the AKC for recognition. Upon their recommendation we have established the Biewer Terrier Registry (BTR). It is not necessary to be a member of the BTCA to register your Biewer Terrier, although it is required that the appropriate pedigree information be submitted with each application.
