The purebred Mi-Ki is available in two coat types either smooth or rough (long) both are acceptable recognized coat types in the breed. The difference is the smooth coat does not develop a beard and mustache where the long coat does, both have long hair. Both types require little grooming but the smooth coat always look like they were just groomed without the effort.
