After a long, intensive search for the perfect dog for our family, we discovered the rare Bergamasco. We had searched for a medium sized dog with a good health record, long life expectancy, and an especially good temperament with children. The Bergamasco seemed like that and so much more. We made arrangements to meet Donna and Stephen DeFalcis from Silver Pastori and the wonderful Bergamascos that share their home. We now share our home with 3 beautiful Bergamascos. We also have five children aged from 6 months to 11 years old..
We love the rustic, natural qualities of the Bergamasco and their flocked coat. They are gentle, intelligent, affectionate members of our family. Their intelligence is manifested by their keen ability to establish different relationships with each member of our family. We have enjoyed having them in our lives so much, we decided to breed our dogs and continue to re-establish this unique and intriguing breed.
